Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Blane Lazar

I am Blane Lazar and I am currently serving as the vice principal at Jefferson High School.  I am very excited about the voyage ahead.

I began my educational journey in 2000 when I was hired as a math teacher and varsity soccer coach at McLane High School in Fresno, California.  From there our family moved to Redmond, Oregon where I taught middle school math for two years at Crook County Middle School.  While there I also ran an Adventure Club and started my administrative coursework towards becoming a principal.  Following we moved to Silverton, Oregon where we still live today.  In 2008 I was hired by Molalla River School District where I served in a variety of roles including math coach, Dean of Students, Director of Teaching/Learning and Migrant Summer School Director.

I was hired in August of 2018 to serve as the assistant principal here at Jefferson High School.  It has been amazing getting to know the students, staff and community here in Jefferson.  As I said before, I look forward to the voyage ahead.  Please don't hesitate to contact the high school if you have any questions or concerns.
