Mrs. Kimberly Dryden
Mrs. Dryden has lived in the Jefferson community for 26 years and been actively involved in her community and schools. She is married and has raised three children that all went through the Jefferson School District K-12. She started out as a volunteer in her childrens' classroom as a homeroom mom and became active in the Jefferson Elementary Parents Association, helping to fund raise thousands of dollars for teachers/students at the elementary school. When her children all became students in school, she was hired in the Alternative Education Program through the Project Success Grant at the middle school and after two years made the move to work as an instructional aid in Jefferson Middle School. Working parttime in classrooms and in the Resource program, Mrs. Dryden became a trainer for the Corrective Reading Program that was implemented at both the MS and ES. In 2015, she moved to the high school to become the new testing coordinator. Presently, Mrs. Dryden oversees all state testing at the high school, facilitates the PSAT fall testing and plays a key role in career/college planning programs brought into the school as well as keeping track of all student work samples used for state essential skill requirements. She runs the Financial Aid Night, FAFSA education and is overseeing the PRIDE program and students' Plan and Profile material for meeting state standards in Career and College Learning. She is a senior advisor, worked closely with the senior projects until the past year as we moved from project-based to classroom LIFE 104 on Wednesday Academy days. She is involved in OSEA, AVID leadership and part of the leadership team in the district, working with a district wide group of administration, certified and classified employees and school board members.
