  • Internet Services Help

Posted by Chris Shaw on 3/17/2020

    Dear Jefferson Community,

As Technology Director of Jefferson School District, I want to make sure everyone is aware of low-cost internet services that are available to low-income families. With COVID-19 causing many disruptions, it is becoming important to have internet access for news, messaging and online school resources like imagine learning which are available to students for free during this pandemic.

Comcast is offering free internet service through their Internet essentials program.  For more information please follow the link below. https://www.internetessentials.com/covid19#gethelp&all_DoIliveinaComcastarea

The FCC also offers a supplement to help pay for the internet through their Lifeline Support for Affordable  Communication program. https://www.usac.org/lifeline/

More information on qualifying for the program can be found here.

I hope this helps you and your family stay connected with everything happening.

    Thanks,

    Chris S. Shaw
