In my 20 years of teachering I have been a Elementary Teacher Librarian, a 4th grade teacher, and 5th grade teacher in Salem-Keizer School District. This is my first year of teaching 2nd Grade at Jefferson Elementary. I grew up in the very small town of Irrigon, Oregon. My small town life was very fun and peaceful. I played in the Columbia River, ran around town and had a great time exploring freely. In High School I  found of love of Japanese Language and culture. I eventually visited Japan twice, once in High School and once in College. My love of Book and libraries were founded very early in life. I loves to read, listen to reading, and read-aloud. I am often heard saying "That's my faviorite author/Book" but honestly I love so many it's hard to keep track. 

I have been married to my husband for 22 years now. We have 2 beautiful children. Tavin is 14 years old and Llyssa is 9 years old.
