Howdy'Do Everybody!

My name is Jamie McCaffrey, I am a 4th grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary. I have taught in years past in the Salem-Keizer School District, as well as within the Lebanon School District. However, I cannot begin to express just how happy I am to have landed in Jefferson.

I grew up in Canby, Oregon, another fairly small town in and of itself. In those days, I was able to thrive in my youth; in large part due to the support of a wonderful community that empowered kids. As an adult, it has become my desire to give back to the children of Jefferson in the same way.

Outside of work, I enjoy a wide variety of activities. I love to watch sports (hockey as of late), read the Bible, read Marvel comics (Thor is my favorite), play video games (Nintendo 64/Switch), play a round of golf, listen to jazz, go hunting/fishing, watch Hulu/Netflix, and much more. Also, if you keep an open eye, you might just see me running through the neighborhoods of Jefferson before or after school hours.

A couple of other quick facts: I'm left handed and a former collegiate baseball player, I attended 5 universities, and I have two pointing breed dogs.

I am excited to see how the next chapter unfolds here in Jefferson, and I am happy to now be a part of this community.
