Happy October Everyone!

It is amazing we are moving into the second month of school.  September was busy with finalizing student schedules, meeting families at our 9th grade parent meeting, attending our Hang Up and Drive assembly focused on distracted driving, meeting visiting college representatives during lunch, and participating in safety practice drills.  We finished up the month with a wonderful Homecoming Week.  It was great to see the energy and smiles from our students, staff and families.

October has a lot going on as well, take a look below:

Important Dates:

October 4th: Senior Grad Night Parent Committee:  Each year our senior parents come together to plan for graduation night for our students.  Please join us at 6:00pm in the library. 

October 11th  Fire Prevention Assembly for freshmen. 

                          Senior Parents - join us at 6:00pm in the library.  What to expect SENIOR YEAR!

                          We are halfway through the grading period.  Please check out your student’s grades.

October 13th: No School - In-service Day for teachers

October 18th-19th:  Conferences - we look forward to seeing you.  This is night we can also help you with accessing ParentVue or update registration if you haven’t.  (more information coming soon)

October 20th:  No School

October 23rd: JHS Booster Club meeting in our library at 6:00pm.

October 26th: PSAT for students who signed up

Upcoming Student Opportunities

After school clubs:  Students have completed surveys and we will have sign ups toward the end of this week.  There will be transportation available for those who sign up.  Clubs will run once a week from 3:15 - 4:15.  Please ask your student about this.
