School Start Date Changes

Dear Jefferson Families,

Due to the unprecedented fire activity ravaging our state, it has become increasingly clear that an adjustment to our schedule is not only prudent but necessary. Families are grieving the loss of property and livestock, neighbors, friends and family are displaced, air quality is hazardous, and people are experiencing trauma, stress, and heightened anxiety. In short, these are not optimal conditions for teaching and learning.

As such, we are moving the start date for school back a week to MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21. Please expect updates and further communication from your schools in the coming week.

We understand how challenging it is to begin school online during a crisis. Hopefully, moving the start date provides a measure of relief so you can focus on what's most important - your health and safety, and that of your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Brad
